AMY IVERSEN
Amy Iversen is a contemporary realist oil painter influenced by the American and Russian impressionist painters of the 19th and 20th centuries. She seeks to connect her viewers through the story of color harmonies, light, and the beauty of nature and humankind. It's in the interpretation of subject matter that the true magic happens. She finds it exciting that her paintings let the viewer either add or finish her story, whether it is a feeling of connection to a person, place, and time or a pleasing arrangement of colorful objects, flowers, and fruit. She feels the words of the poet Jerzy Kosinski say it best, "The principles of true art is not to portray but to evoke."

Amy Iversen was raised in Baltimore County, MD and currently lives in Chester Springs, PA. She has a BS in Studio Art with a minor in Art History and an MA Ed in Museum Studies. In 2017, she attained Master Craftsmen in Enamel Jewelry status with the PA Guild of Craftsmen.
